Lambrusco is indeed a popular wine in Italy, particularly in the Emilia-Romagna and Lombardy regions. However, it's not exactly the most beloved or the most common wine across the nation. Italy is known for quite a few amazing varieties, each coming with its own regional specialties and popularity.
Some of these other popular Italian wines include Chianti, Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Prosecco, to name a few. So while Lambrusco is definitely a repeat offender at our dinner table, and likely our favourite, we find ourselves pinching our pennies every now and again to splurge on a delicious bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. This full bodied, god father of an Italian wine wins us over, every time. Share your experience with us on IG @tomatowheels.
